She knows her region like the back of her hand and has mastered the complexities of her profession. Needless to say, she feels right at home in the world of holiday rentals!
A native of the Beaufortain region, Florence Chamiot Maitral says that she can combine her passion for property with her knowledge of the tourism sector. “Holiday rentals is a niche in which I can combine two worlds that I have always been immersed in. Ours is a very specific business combining the concepts of service, rigorous management, and a relationship of trust with the owners who consign their properties to us. In a way, we are stepping into their private lives. We also have to understand the realities of the terrain and the workings of other property departments – sales in particular.” She knows this job incredibly well, having started at the age of 22 in Les Saisies, then with MGM in Chamonix and Argentière, and in Crest-Voland.
Several years later, she joined Alpimo as head of the holiday rentals department covering four sites: Megève, Les Saisies, Crest-Voland, and Notre Dame de Bellecombe. “When Alpimo joined the Foncia group, I took over two new sectors, Praz sur Arly and Le Grand- Bornand. Now that I have joined GSI, I have a close ally in the Tarentaise Valley, and I’m delighted! Séverine Burgat and I can share our experiences and problems, and above all, we’re stronger together!”
